Token Volume Analysis: Read Volume Patterns Like a Pro

Volume analysis is the closest thing to a crystal ball in DEX trading. While price tells you where a token has been, volume tells you where it's going. Learning to read volume patterns separates profitable traders from those who are always one step behind.

Core Volume Patterns

Accumulation Volume

Steady volume with flat or slowly rising price. Someone (or many someones) is buying consistently without pushing price. This is the institutional pattern — build a position quietly, then let the catalyst drive price. On DexScout, look for tokens with above-average volume that aren't trending yet.

Breakout Volume

A sudden 5-10x increase in volume accompanied by a sharp price move. This is the moment the market recognizes what the accumulators already knew. If you're early enough, there's still room. If volume is already declining from the peak, you're likely late.
